As Music Director of the Conservatory Orchestra in the State of Veracruz, Carlos leads the music making of 85 talented youth from across Mexico who gather in the city of Xalapa to hone their orchestra skills in over 18 programs every year.
In addition to leading the Symphony’s “Prelude” pre-concert talks before each Classical performance, Carlos teaches continuing education programs and visits schools in the greater Houston area through the Houston Symphony’s Education and Community Programming activities.
Music making is the best way to build bridges between peoples around the planet. With that purpose, Carlos leads orchestral workshops with underprivileged youth and budding musicians in Aruba, El Salvador, Argentina, Panama, Iraq, Lebanon, and Colombia.
I’d love to hear of your projects, and start imagining how to grow them together. I can’t wait to partner with you.
